Continuing with their tradition of anime- and video game-themed vehicles, taxi operator Choei Taxi has put taxis covered with artwork of Evangelion characters into operation in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The taxis appeared in November, and were timed to coincide with the recent release of the newest Evangelion movie.

The five taxis feature the images of an Evangelion character, as well as the NERV logo printed on the car’s hood. The five characters chosen for the cars are Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Shikinami, Kaworu Nagisa, and Mari Illustrious Makinami.

The taxis will be in operation until February 11th.
