“Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game” will open in Japanese theaters on Saturday, March 18th, 2017.

Anime film “Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game” will be opening in Japanese theaters on March 18th.

Created by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, high school basketball manga “Kuroko’s Basketball” ran from 2009 to 2014, with a total of 30 million volumes in print. Following a three-season, 75-episode TV anime series that was broadcast in 2012 through 2015, three theatrical films compiling stories from the anime series were released in 2016.

Theatrical film “Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game” will be based on an original story written by Fujimaki. The film is intended to serve as a conclusion to the “Kuroko’s Baskeball” saga, and will depict the clash between Vorpal Swords, a Japanese dream team made up of Tetsuya Kuroko, Taiga Kagami, and the Generation of Miracles, and Jabberwock, a team of elite American street basketball players. TV anime series and OVA director Shunsuke Tada is returning to direct the film, with Production I.G handling animation.

Advance tickets for the film are currently on sale, accompanied by limited-edition promo items such as posters and transparent file folders. Details are available at the movie’s official site. A list of cast and crew members can be found below.
