“Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga” Brothers Rin and Yukio Okumura Repainted Figures Coming Soon
The “Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga” Rin and Yukio Okumura figure set has been rereleased five years later with a new paint job.
Bandai’s official online store, Premium Bandai, is currently accepting preorders for a pair of figures based on twin brothers Rin and Yukio Okumura from anime series “Blue Exorcist”, released to coincide with the series’ currently-running second season, “Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga”.
The figures, originally released as part of the G.E.M. Series in 2012, have been repainted and rereleased to match the current anime series’ character designs. Rin appears slightly older than the previous version, with expressive eyes and a reflective jacket. His cat familiar, Kuro, has also been repainted for a cuter appearance. The Yukio figure, based on a color illustration from series creator Kazue Kato, features a slightly reddish tinge, and provides a striking contrast when posed next to Rin. Yukio’s fluttering coat helps contribute to the dynamic sense of movement.
The set of two figures retails for 20,088 yen, and comes with an A6-size, full-color photo sheet depicting the two brothers and foster father Shiro Fujimoto. The figures are also available individually for 10,368 yen each.
The figures will be released in late June.
