J-World Tokyo, the Jump-themed amusement park located in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City, is currently running an event based on the Seirin vs. Rakuzan story arc from TV anime series “Kuroko’s Basketball”.
Titled “Seirin vs. Rakuzan in J-World Tokyo”, the event covers the Winter Cup finals between Seirin High, led by main character Tetsuya Kuroko, and Rakuzan High, commanded by former “Generation of Miracles” captain Seijuro Akashi. The event includes life-sized statues of Kuroko and Akashi, scenery and limited edition merchandise featuring chibi drawings of team members, minigames, and a special themed food menu.
The amusement park, celebrating characters from popular publications Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump SQ, features areas based on series such as Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Kuroko’s Basketball, Gin Tama, and Haikyu!!, among others. The entertainment complex aims to give visitors a chance to experience the worlds of their favorite characters and series.
A special talk show will be held on July 24th featuring an appearance from voice actor Wataru Hatano, who plays the role of Rakuzan High team member Reo Mibuchi. Park visitors who take part in the event’s lottery drawing by July 12th can win tickets to the exclusive show.
Admission to J-World Tokyo is 800 yen for high school students and older, 600 yen for children, and free for ages 4 and under. Hours of operation are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The event will run through July 12th.
