“Sakura Wars” Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Akihabara Exhibition

On April 22nd through May 8th, Sakura Wars Museum 2, an exhibition based on the “Sakura Wars” video game series, will be held at the Akihabara branch of anime merchandise shop Gamers.

The exhibition is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the “Sakura Wars” series, which debuted in 1996 on the Sega Saturn. Numerous historical artifacts from the series’ history will be on display, including costumes from the Kayou Show live-action musicals and original artwork from the games.

Exclusive “Sakura Wars” 20th anniversary merchandise will also be on sale at the exhibitions. Purchases of at least 2,000 yen will be accompanied by one of three bromide art cards.

The store’s 1st floor is open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, while the 2nd through 7th floors are open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
