Lupin III Real Escape Game Comes to 28 Japanese Cities
Event main visual
A real-life escape game based on manga series Lupin III will take place across Japan, starting on November 20th in Harajuku and visiting 28 cities across Japan by March 2016.
The Real Escape Game drops players into an enclosed area where they have to use their wits to solve puzzles scattered across the playing field and escape from their confined location. The game has been held in closed schools, hospitals, amusement parks, and a variety of other places.
Based on Lupin III, which is currently broadcasting its first new TV anime series in 30 years, the game tasks players with stealing Marie Antoinette’s necklace from San Marino Castle. To obtain the necklace, players will have to solve a variety of puzzles and uncover a secret code to escape the castle while evading traps set by Inspector Zenigata.
Advance tickets for the game’s debut location, Harajuku Himitsukichi of Scrap, are 2,880 yen for adults and 2,360 yen for students, while tickets at the door are 3,390 yen. Ticketing details and other information can be found at the event’s official site.
