Live-action film “Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw” to be released
Rio Uchida as Geeko Nokomura, who uses her chainsaw to fight with zombies
Comic “Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw” live-action film is gaining attention before its release. “Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw” is a zombie, splatter & action manga currently serialized in “Monthly Comic Beam”, by Japanese horror manga artist Rei Mikamoto who has wrote and illustrated many pornographic and grotesque manga including “Reiko the Zombie Shop” and “Big Tits Dragon”.
Rio Uchida, who had played heroin Kiriko Shijima in hugely popular “Kamen Rider Drive”, and will be appearing in “Okigami Kyoko no bibouroku”, TV drama originally written by Ishin Nishio, will be playing the heroin, Geeko Nokomura.
Geeko is a delinquent girl dressed in typical Japanese high-school-girls’ uniform, and loincloth and clogs…unlike what typical Japanese high-school girls do not wear. And another thing typical Japanese high-school girls do not do: She fights with zombie using her chainsaw.
Hiroki Yamaguchi, famous for shooting many horror and SF movies, will be directing this work. Script is by Mitsunori Fukuhara.
The movie is planned to be released next January. We still have couple more months to go, but let’s read through all ten comics as well as “Monthly Comic Beam” to get the latest information about Geeko.
Chainsaw used in actual shooting weighed 4kgs.
“Acting wearing clogs was quite tough” says Uchida
