New events, including a “Black Butler” theme cafe and a second wave of live events, have been announced for the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2016, to be held September 17th and 18th.

The yearly trade show, also abbreviated as “Kyomaf”, features booths from publishers, anime production studios, and anime-related companies. Other attractions include live stage shows and appearances by special guests.

This year’s fair will feature a cafe based on manga and anime series “Black Butler”. The cafe, known as Yuki Chaya, is a Japanese-style take on popular Harajuku and Osaka “Black Butler” eatery Funtom Cafe. Theme dishes such as Salisbury steak and Kyoto-style udon will be served, and limited edition “Black Butler” merchandise will be available from local companies like pottery maker Sione and nail polish manufacturer Ueba Esou.

Several other Kyomaf 2016 attractions have been announced, including the relocation of the Animate Cafe food truck, an anime-themed group dating event, and the Kyoto leg of the Seidama voice actor talent search for middle school and high school students. A second wave of live stage events has also been revealed, based on anime series “My Wife is the Student Council President” and “Matoi the Sacred Slayer” and smartphone game “Tokyo 7th Sisters”.

The “My Wife is the Student Council President” event will feature an appearance from voice actress Sora Tokui, while the “Matoi the Sacred Slayer” event will be an internet radio recording session with Ayaka Suwa and Naomi Ozora, the voices of characters Matoi Sumeragi and Yuma Kusanagi. The “Tokyo 7th Sisters” event will include voice actress Inori Minase and music producer Shintaro Motegi.

Previously announced events include a cross-promoted show for anime series “Servamp” and “Bananya”, a premiere event for “Nobunaga no Shinobi”, and live talk shows for “The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War”, “Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc”, “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans”, and “My Hero Academia”.

Details on how to attend the stage shows can be found at the Kyomaf 2016 official site.
