“Oh My Goddess!” Creator Kosuke Fujishima Gets His First Art Exhibition

To celebrate volume 1 of “Paradise Residence”, artist Kosuke Fujishima is getting his own art exhibition.

The first art exhibition focusing on Kosuke Fujishima, creator of manga series “Oh My Goddess!” and “You’re Under Arrest” and character designer for the Sakura Wars and Tales video game series, will be coming to Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

The event is timed to coincide with the release of the first volume of Fujishima’s current manga series, “Paradise Residence”, currently serialized in Kodansha’s Afternoon manga magazine. The exhibition will feature original artwork and design documents from Fujishima’s career, depicting the delicate and detailed character and machine design that has gained him countless fans over the years. Commemorative merchandise and art reproductions will also be sold, and signing events are also planned.

The event will be held at Tokyo Solamachi from February 24th to March 1st, Osaka’s Daimaru Umeda branch from March 11th to 16th, and Nagoya Maruei from March 19th to 24th. Advance tickets are 1,000 yen, or 3,000 yen with a special gift, while tickets at the door are 1,300 and 3,300 yen, respectively.
