Anime Film “Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic” Premiering January 21st, 2017

Theatrical animated film “Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic”, based on manga series “Black Butler”, will open in Japanese theaters on January 21st, 2017.
The manga series, which has shipped over 23 million copies worldwide, received its first TV anime adaptation in 2008. A second season soon followed, as well as continuations “Book of Circus” and “Book of Murder”.
The upcoming film will cover the popular “Luxury Liner” story arc in its entirety. In addition to teaser art from character designer and chief animation director Minako Shiba, screening locations and advance ticket sale information have previously been announced.
Newly revealed is a bonus exercise CD accompanying online ticket presales. The CD will be available in two different versions, with the first featuring characters Sebastian and Ciel, and the second starring Grell and the Undertaker. Each CD will contain newly recorded dialogue that guides listeners through a workout routine.
Advance tickets retail for 2,500 yen, tax included, and will be available through online anime merchandise retailer Aniplex+ starting on August 18th.
