The result of the truly fashionable photo shoot.

In collaboration with cosmetics company Shiseido’s top hair and makeup artist Tadashi Harada, character Michelle K. Davis of manga series “Terra Formars” has been brought to life for a photo shoot.

Set in the 26th century, science fiction manga series “Terra Formars” tells the story of the war between humans and a race of mutated humanoid bugs known as Terraformars. The popular series placed first in the 2013 “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” Top 20 Manga for Male Readers survey, and a TV anime adaption will air starting on September 26th.

The photo shoot is Tadashi Harada’s second based on a manga character, following 2013’s “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” modeling session. This time, the photo shoot brought together top professionals in the fields of hair and makeup, fashion, and computer graphics.

The finished works will be featured in the October (on sale September 19th) and November (on sale October 18th) issues of monthly manga periodical Ultra Jump, and are also planned for publication in Weekly Young Jump, the periodical in which “Terra Formars” is currently serialized.
