Bandai’s collectors division has announced a series of “Figuarts Zero” figures based on characters from popular manga and anime series “Kingdom”.

Set in China’s Warring States period, “Kingdom” tells the story of young boy Xin, who aims to become a “Great General of the Heavens” and unify China, and Ying Zheng, who later becomes Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of unified China. The manga is currently being serialized in Weekly Young Jump, and an anime adaptation aired on NHK.

The first figure in the series, based on main character Xin, will be released in August (3,200 yen, plus tax). A figure of character He Liao Diao will be released in September (1,800 yen, plus tax). The high-quality figure series is being produced under the supervision of “Kingdom” creator Yasuhisa Hara, and will reproduce every aspect of the characters in exacting detail. Figures based on characters Ying Zheng and Wang Qi are currently in the planning stages.
