On May 28th, Bandai’s official online store, Premium Bandai, started accepting preorders for a figure based on main character Gon from manga and anime series “Hunter x Hunter”. The allotment of preorders due to ship in September and October has already sold out, and current preorders are scheduled to ship in November.

The figure depicts Gon in his fight against Neferpitou, when he forcibly ages himself to increase his power to its maximum potential. Gon’s towering pillar of hair quickly became a meme on the Japanese internet, and recently started attracting English-language press.

The figure measures approximately 430 millimeters tall, over 300 millimeters of which is Gon’s hair. The figure utilizes digital printing processes for the most detailed parts, such as Gon’s pupils, and has proven a popular new figure thanks to its high quality.

The figure retails for 2,943 yen, plus tax. Ordering details and other information is available at Premium Bandai’s product page.
