Figure and model company Max Factory will be producing a plastic model of the VF-1 Valkyrie (in GERWALK mode) from anime film “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?”

The 1/20th scale model, measuring 57 centimeters long and 62 centimeters wide, is the largest in Macross plastic model history. Utilizing a completely new design to provide the stability necessary for its huge scale, the VF-1 is reproduced with an unprecedented degree of detail.

The model depicts the VF-1 in GERWALK mode, posed in a battle stance chosen for stability and impact. It can be outfitted with either the Strike Pack or Super Pack and includes a custom display stand. Also included is a miniature pilot figure for the cockpit dressed in Roy Focker’s flight suit, as well as A, J, and S-type Valkyrie head parts and large stickers with Roy Focker’s Valkyrie markings.

The kit consists of fully-painted parts in five colors and an assortment of decals for the finishing details. Armaments suspended under the VF-1’s wings are currently in development and will be sold separately.

The plastic model kit retails for 36,852 yen, plus tax. Preorders will run until June 6th, and the kit will be released in August.
