Visit the Real-Life Yokohama Date Spots of “After the Rain”

Akira’s Yokohama Date Spot Tour Campaign

On March 1st through 30th, the city of Yokohama will be holding a special cross-promotional campaign to highlight the real-life date spots of anime series “After the Rain”.

12,500 maps have been printed for the event, known as “Akira’s Yokohama Date Spot Tour Campaign”, directing visitors to selected date destinations around Yokohama. The first 500 participants to visit at least three locations on the map, take photos of the campaign posters or character standees, and present the photos at the Sakuragicho Station tourist information center will receive an exclusive clear file folder.

Participants can also win one of five posters signed by the cast of “After the Rain” by tweeting a photo of a date spot with the campaign’s Japanese hashtag. Fans who visit Yokohama’s Kishamichi Promenade, take a photo of themselves posing as anime protagonist Akira, and tweet it with the same hashtag can win one of three posters signed by original series creator Jun Mayuzuki.

Copies of the map are being distributed at city tourist information centers in Yokohama Station, Sakuragicho Station, and Shin-Yokohama Station; Tokyo tourist information centers in TIC TOKYO and Tokyo City Ai; and public facilities like city sightseeing establishments, resident information centers and ward offices.
