Hungry Days Kiki’s Delivery Service poster design

Upcoming exhibitions in Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Taiwan will showcase artwork from Nissin Foods’ “Hungry Days” Cup Noodle commercials based on classic anime “Kiki’s Delivery Service” and “Heidi, Girl of the Alps”.

The exhibitions will feature original artwork from commercial character designer Eisaku Kubonouchi, as well as animation stills and other related illustrations. The Japanese exhibitions will display changing content for the first and second halves of their runs, with highlights including concept art for animation scenes and examples of the progression from storyboard to finished animation. Merchandise based on Eisaku Kubonouchi’s artwork will also be on sale, and customers who spend at least 3,000 yen will receive an exclusive promotional poster or clear file folder.

The Fukuoka exhibition will be held at HMV & Books Hakata, with the first period running from October 14th through 20th and the second period from October 21st through 27th. The Tokyo exhibition will take place at HMV & Books Tokyo, divided into periods of October 25th through 31st and November 1st through 7th. At both locations, the first period will focus on the “Kiki’s Delivery Service” commercial, while the second period will highlight the “Heidi, Girl of the Alps” commercial.

The Taiwan exhibition will be held on November 12th through December 10th, focusing exclusively on the “Kiki’s Delivery Service” Hungry Days commercial. Autograph signings and live painting events will also be held in Taiwan on November 18th and 19th.
