This October, Anime Film Festival Tokyo 2017 will be held for the first time ever! With Shinjuku as the stage, various anime projects will be launched

AnimeFes (Anime Film Festival Tokyo 2017) will be held at cinemas in the Shinjuku area on October 13-15.

This doujinshi festival is based off of the concept of 'Bringing the Power of Anime to the World' from Anime Next 100, which was the project that was launched in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Japan anime.

The three days mentioned above would be the core of 2 weeks of programs. Starting with onscreen events related to recent and famous works, there will also be live anime song concerts, collaboration events and cafes, a character parade, and sales of limited edition AnimeFes merchandise.

The organizer is the Anime Film Festival Tokyo Executive Committee. Members of the Committee include Asatsu-DK, Aniplex, Avex Pictures, Sunrise, Toei Animation, TMS Entertainment, Nippon Animation, and Pierrot.

While offering a large variety of ways to enjoy anime, this Festival will be focused on the fundamental concept of 'To Watch and Enjoy'.
